Are you looking to go bar hopping in Delray Beach? Then this guide is for you!
While it might not have the famous nightlife of Miami or even Fort Lauderdale for that matter, you can still have a lot of fun in Delray. That is if you know where to go…

What is Delray Beach
For those unfamiliar, Delray Beach is a resort-like beach town on Florida’s southeast coast in between Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
There are tons of beachfront attractions and you can’t help but feel like you’re on vacation while strolling through Atlantic Avenue. There are eclectic restaurants, art galleries and boutiques that are all worth visiting. Although we are going to focus on alcohol-serving establishments today. But let’s first make sure you know how to get there!

How to get to Delray Beach?
Delray Beach is conveniently located right off I-95, making it easy to get to whether you’re coming down from Palm Beach or up from Fort Lauderdale. Both Palm Beach International (PBI) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) are less than 30 minutes away, making it a great weekend getaway.
If you’re staying in Fort Lauderdale or Miami, the most fun way to visit Delray Beach is by booking a Miami party bus. This way your journey is just as fun as the destination and getting stuck in traffic actually becomes a good thing!
Best Bars in Delray Beach
Considering the population is less than 100,000, Delray Beach truly has something for everyone. From delicious happy hours to late-night spots, we will list at least a couple of spots perfect for your needs!

Best Outdoor Bar – Throw Social
With almost every bar in Delray Beach offering an outdoor patio, this might be the toughest category to narrow down. But Throw Social’s tropical restaurant and bar is hard to beat. There are tons of games including ax throwing (hence the name), darts and light-up ping pong at night.
Recently named the new “It Bar” by Boca Magazine, Throw has it all including a massive outdoor stage and a great happy hour.
Sports Bar – Bounce
Opened at the end of Delray Beach Market earlier this year, Bounce has already started making a name for itself. Trust us, this isn’t your typical sports bar (their other location is in Montauk). Though they do have 20 HDTVs, providing a view to every seat in its 5,000-square-foot location. The bar is open to 2:00 am, making it a great late night spot in case you’re trying to burn the midnight oil.
Cocktails & Light Bites – Hampton Social
A perfect place to hang no matter the time or day of the week, Hampton Social prides itself on their “Rosé all day” lifestyle. They also offer delicious coastal-inspired cuisine and craft cocktails in their beautifully decorated beach haven.

Live Music Venue – Tin Roof
Would you believe us if we told you a bar in Delray beach offers live music 7 nights a week? Us neither, until we found the Tin Roof. Their secret to offering so much live music is by mixing up their offerings, whether it’s Motown Mondays, Karaoke Tuesdays or the various DJs playing on the weekends, there is something for everyone.
Just have to check out their events calendar so you show up on the right night for you!
Happy Hour – Avalon
Who says steak and seafood has to break the bank? This high end restaurant makes luxury attainable by offering great deals throughout the week. Our favorite weekly deals are 50% off all wine under $300 on Wednesdays and Suft & Turf Thursdays, where you get filet mignon with a lobster tail for $44.
They also offer 50% off all wine by the glass and cocktails from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday through Sundays. Yes, that’s right, even on Fridays and Saturdays!

Oyster Bar – City Oyster & Sushi Bar
You can’t make a favorite bar list in a beach town without mentioning oysters and City Oyster is the place to go if you’re in Delray. They are open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas and bloodys.
Little of Everything Bar – Dada
Is your group undecided on what type of bar they want to go to? Then we recommend Dada, an American cafe with a tree-filled patio, live music, revolving local artwork and delicious bites. A true break from the norm, this place is by artists for artists.

Haunted Bar – Blue Anchor
Every beach town needs a casual fish n chips pub that has live music on the weekends. Oh and it happens to be haunted with a 19th century ghost? Perfect. All jokes aside, Blue Anchor offers some of the best deals in town and a great local atmosphere. It’s also the only true pub in town in case you’re ever tired of beach themed bars.
Conclusion – Best Bars in Delray Beach
Delray Beach is the perfect destination for drinks by the Sea, no matter the time or day of the week. You will always feel like you’re on vacation here, whether you deserve it or not.
While most of the bars lean into the beachy culture and outdoor patios, they all offer something unique and help create a one-of-a-kind town. Make sure to check all of the spots out and let us know your favorite.
